"WATER WORDS" BY Holly Michaels
Water Words is a collection of poetry by Holly Michaels, personally selected by the author. The poems cover a variety of themes, including religion and love, and have been well-received in the poetic circles in which the author posts her work. Holly enjoys writing free-style and brevity poems, but also enjoys trying new styles as well. It is her hope that this book will inspire others to write poetry, as well.

"En Garde" BY 'HAMBURGER FRY'
BOOK DESCRIPTION:
From the mind of Hamburger Fry, A tale of Medieval meets Science.
Imagine a Musketeer meeting Star Trek, Star wars, and Harry Potter!
En Garde is a fast paced, humorous action story about the plight of Cyrano, D'vane and Gwenith.
This is a novella with a 36,225 word count. On my PC it shows the page count being at 102 pages.
Far from home in a strange land, a gallant, wisecracking hero is suffering from partial amnesia.
He fights to protect two teenagers from the tyrannical forces of King Tiberion.
During his struggles, he starts remembering what happened to him.
"Wasn't I involved in a war before this one?" He wonders.
Along the way, he discovers that some things are not as they seem. On the other hand, things haven't changed it all.
Like a candle burning at both ends, time is quickly running out.
With their champion fighting to protect them, D’vane and Gwenith start assembling an army.
The army they assemble is, original, to say the least. They might not be the biggest soldiers to come down the line. What they lack in size, is made up in valor.
Even with the aid of a hero, the protection of a "small" army, and imbued with powerful magic, can D’vane keep the forces of Tiberion at bay? Or is he destined to pay the ultimate price, protecting his true love from them?
I humbly invite you to come along and help fight, “The good fight.”
En Garde!

"TRAIL OF 32" BY PAUL REGA
FIVE STAR REVIEW
This powerfully written, coming of age story will hit you like a whirlwind, taking you on a roller coaster of a ride. Paul Rega weaves an incredible true story of 32 young boys life changing journey across America on bicycle. This journey and the events that unfolded along the way caught the attention of radio stations and the press all over. As the boys cycled from town to town and city to city the residents went out of their way to greet them and welcome them with open arms. This is one amazing story, powerfully written and one that truly touches your heart. Unputdownable and keeps you eagerly turning the pages. I found myself loosing track of my own time as I followed this story from page to page and felt like I was on the journey with the all as it was so beautifully told and very descriptive that anyone reading it will feel as if they are right there. This story redefines "coming of age" it's simply breathtaking and awe-inspiring. At the finish I could feel the pride that each one of the boys felt. This is one of those rare books that you pick up and you know the words inside the pages will remain with you forever. A story of courage and strength and one that I highly recommend to all, no matter how old or young you may be. |
Paul Rega began his writing career in 1980 while attending Western Illinois University as a staff reporter for the Western Courier. "POETIC EXPRESSIONS" BY MACKENZIE LUNGA
MY REVIEW
Wow, couldn't stop right from the beginning of a journey taking me in a tunnel and until the end, Where the bright light illuminated me. I've learned alot of concepts from the book, it provides points to ponder and keep one's mind busy in thinking and digesting the inspiration the writer produced in the book by his amazing talent and grip on words. The last poem of the book is drenched in 'Hope' which, for me, is very important for people to develop inside of them. I would love to recommend all poetry-lover readers to read this book. It's worth your notice.
